DICE has outlined the first season of content for Battlefield 6, with Season 1 beginning on October 28th with Rogue Ops. It adds a new map, Blackwell Fields, which accommodates multiple combat sizes.

Strikepoint is a new 4v4 round-based mode where each squad has one life. There’s also a new vehicle, the APC Traverser Mark 2, and three new weapons: the SOR-300C (Carbine Rifle), the Mini Fix (Sniper Rifle) and the GGH-22 (Sidearm).

November 18th marks the launch of California Resistance, the second phase of the season, which adds a new map, Eastwood, also ideal for all combat sizes. Another new mode, Sabotage, is being introduced, offering 8v8 objective-based play as each team gets a single round to dismantle sites within the time limit.

Battle Pickups are also being introduced, offering “high-tech, powerful weaponry” with limited ammo on a map. In terms of new weapons, you can look forward to the DB-12 Shotgun and the M327 Trait Sidearm. The third and final phase, Winter Offensive, begins on December 9th and adds a limited-time version of Empire State covered in ice.

It’s more than just cosmetic, though, as a new mechanic, Freeze, will be active during the Ice Lock limited event. An Ice Climbing Axe is also being added as a new melee weapon, completing the Winter-focused drop.
