Although EA announced that Battlefield 6 has become the “best-selling shooter of the year,” outselling both Black Ops 7 and ARC Raiders, the game has recently seen a significant drop in player numbers.

Data shows that the title initially peaked at over 700,000 concurrent players at launch, but its average daily player count has since declined from around 400,000 a few weeks ago to approximately 200,000.
In an effort to attract new users, EA launched a week-long free trial, but the results fell short of expectations.
Notably, Battlefield 6‘s current 24-hour peak concurrent player count is now substantially lower than ARC Raiders‘ 367,000—a rare occurrence for a Battlefield title, which traditionally relies heavily on PC platforms.
Despite strong performance during its beta phase—prompting many players to abandon Call of Duty—the game currently holds the second-lowest rating in the series. Meanwhile, Call of Duty maintains its overall lead thanks to its dominance on consoles and broad availability via Game Pass.
