Diablo 4, originally scheduled to be released in China on December 12th, has recently released a stress test version for players to test and try. However, players participating in this version have found significant changes in the game’s visual effects.
The most crucial change is the complete disappearance of the blood effect. When attacking, the familiar red splash effect no longer appears, replaced by semi transparent brown particles resembling dust. In addition, the developers also modified the key boss – the giant skull – to appear in the form of a demon statue in the domestic version. Ordinary skeleton enemies and corpses have also been replaced with stone statues or scarecrows. In addition, there is a phenomenon where some cutscenes are directly replaced by language and words.
The game interface has also been adjusted: elements such as skeletons in the icons have been removed. Blizzard has not yet released an official statement regarding the adaptation of the domestic version.
