Capcom, Aniplex, and JOYCITY jointly announced that the new free mobile strategy game “Resident Evil: Survival Squad” will be launched on iOS and Android platforms at 6pm Pacific Time on November 17th (10am Beijing Time on November 18th). The game’s first release will be limited to certain regions and is expected to be launched in South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei, Myanmar, and Mongolia in early 2026.
This game incorporates the iconic atmosphere of the classic series into its survival strategy gameplay. Players will lead a group of survivors trapped in a fallen city, where an unknown virus is raging. Survival requires building defense facilities, collecting resources, and making difficult decisions.
The core feature of the game lies in character strategic allocation – each survivor has unique abilities: some are skilled in combat, while others specialize in resource collection or technology development. Players need to decide whether to dispatch personnel to carry out reconnaissance missions or stay at the base for defense.
Repairing the old mansion will be the first step in building a solid fortress. Unlocking a new room opens up opportunities for research, defense, and expanding map influence. Players can also choose to collaborate with other survivor organizations or fight for resources.
Resident Evil: Survival Squad will bring together classic characters from the series: Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine. This new story will revolve around strategic games rather than military confrontations, showcasing another possibility of survival tests.
